About The Position

The Project Manager IT is responsible for delivering service excellence utilizing people, processes, and technology in an Integrated Delivery System (IDS). The Project Manager will provide consultative support to the Project Director and Project Service Leaders; initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects according to the established Project Management Methodology to ensure project meets or exceeds timeline, budget and quality expectations; request resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Work with IS Unified Infrastructure leadership to define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Interacts regularly with IS leadership, the Strategic Program Management Office. Utilizes leadership skills, sound judgment, and discretion to positively impact project teams and overall project success. Makes management presentations and submits reports as required. These services may be provided for various entities with the LLU Health System. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required or an additional three years of experience required in lieu of Degree
  • Minimum five years of experience in project management in all aspects of project delivery required
  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical processes and workflow
  • Able to use project planning software, spreadsheets, and word processing software
  • Able to input data, typing, copying, and effective use of the telephone
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality
  • Able to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS project, Access, etc)
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
  • Able to collaborate; accept direction

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Healthcare project management preferred
  • Certification in Project Management, such as Preferred Project Management Institute (PMP or CAPM), International Institute for Learning (APMC), or American Academy of Project Management preferred
  • EPIC certification preferred and may be required within one year of employment
