Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the development and management of external partnerships, with a focus on scientific innovation and emerging technologies. Based in the Office of the Chief Scientific Officer, this role will help identify, coordinate, and execute collaborations with external partners including startups, academic institutions, and industry leaders. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, a strong communicator, and curious about innovation in the life sciences. The Project Manager will work cross-functionally to help drive partnership initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring alignment, timely delivery, and effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (business, communications, marketing, life sciences, or related field preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of project management principles (e.g., timelines, milestones, stakeholder coordination)
  • Interest in scientific innovation, emerging technologies, or life sciences industry trends
  • Ability to learn and communicate complex scientific or technical concepts at a high level
  • Interest in partnerships, business development, or relationship management

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, or similar) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying and researching potential external partners
  • Support outreach efforts, including drafting emails and coordinating communications
  • Help maintain and track partnership pipelines, contacts, and activities
  • Coordinate meetings, calls, and follow-ups with external stakeholders
  • Prepare materials such as presentations, reports, and partnership summaries
  • Support project management of partnership initiatives, including tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations, legal) to ensure timely execution and delivery of partnership activities
  • Monitor project progress, flag risks or delays, and help drive alignment across stakeholders
  • Assist in developing project plans, status updates, and internal reporting for partnership programs
  • Monitor and report on partnership performance and engagement
  • Provide general administrative support for partnership programs
