About The Position

The Project Manager I/II will collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. This role involves leading stakeholder outreach, engagement, and relationship management across various business units. The Project Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for external deliverables and communications, and will manage and coordinate all activities required for the successful execution of large-scale/strategic projects across CAP, JA, Kearny, and WoLF processes. Key responsibilities include overseeing these processes, identifying and mitigating project risks, coordinating with business units to reduce inefficiencies and drive cost savings, and supporting process development and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves training stakeholders on resource forecasting tools, assisting in developing documentation, providing quality assurance on team deliverables, leading complex data requests, and delivering presentations to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience, providing direct project management pertaining to new business (meter installs, etc.) substation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project-related tools, including SAP, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery, including SDG&E leadership, design teams, construction teams, project teams, and project schedulers.
  • Lead stakeholder outreach, engagement, and relationship management across various business units at SDG&E.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external deliverables and communications.
  • Manage and coordinate all activities required for successful execution of large-scale/strategic projects across CAP, JA, Kearny, and WoLF processes.
  • Oversee key processes, including Construction Allocation Process (CAP), Job Analysis (JA), Workload Forecasting (WoLF), and Kearny reporting.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proposing innovative solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with business units to reduce inefficiencies and drive cost savings.
  • Support process development and continuous improvement initiatives across CAP, JA, WoLF, and Kearny processes.
  • Train stakeholders on resource forecasting tools and processes.
  • Assist in developing Job Aids, Reference Documents, SOPs, and data request frameworks.
  • Provide quality assurance on team deliverables prior to distribution.
  • Lead and validate urgent and complex data requests.
  • Deliver presentations, insights, and reporting to stakeholders and leadership as needed.
