About the position

The Electrical Engineering Project Manager at AE2S is responsible for leading business development and managing complex electrical engineering projects, particularly in the water and wastewater sectors. This role requires advanced expertise in electrical systems design, compliance with industry standards, and proactive client engagement to drive local growth and ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive leadership and electrical engineering solutions by developing and implementing business development strategies.
  • Lead business development through positive client interactions and proactive engagement.
  • Serve as a leader and advanced technical advisor on projects, relying on technical expertise.
  • Design and develop electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct research and feasibility studies to evaluate new electrical technologies and applications.
  • Lead large-scale, complex electrical engineering design projects, preparing and overseeing project budgets.
  • Provide proactive technical expertise, quality control, and quality assurance on designs and specifications.
  • Develop and expand business by pursuing and implementing strategies focused on client success.
  • Guide and oversee the work of other electrical engineers and team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Manage client relationships, proposal development, and project opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of electrical system design experience in the water/wastewater industry or related experience.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Utah or ability to obtain.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, compliance practices, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with design-build, design-bid-build, and construction management at risk (CMAR) project delivery.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, and special systems, and instrumentation and control systems.
