About The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for independently leading multiple types of complex technology initiatives from initiation through implementation and closure. This role drives project execution, fiscal governance, and cross-functional coordination to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality. The successful candidate creates structure where ambiguity exists, proactively identifies and mitigates risks, and maintains strong accountability across internal teams, vendors, and business partners. This position requires demonstrated experience managing systems integration projects, portfolio finances, and multiple concurrent initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of IT project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
  • Must have experience in managing large, complex projects.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional teams and complex technical initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in forecasting and resource management.
  • Experience with Agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Kanban boards, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project and portfolio finances, including capital and expense budgets, forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, resource planning, and vendor spend across multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, assumptions, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and governance structures using Jira and the broader Atlassian tool suite.
  • Establish meeting cadence, governance forums, decision logs, and action tracking to drive accountability and transparency.
  • Determine project resource requirements, including labor, vendor services, and capital and expense funding.
  • Build and maintain detailed forecasts, budgets, and financial models for assigned initiatives.
  • Manage project and portfolio finances, including forecasting, accruals, invoice approvals, estimates to actuals, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and partner with delivery leads to ensure financial data reflects current project realities.
  • Evaluate processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, predictability, and financial discipline.
  • Support portfolio initiatives and strategic programs as assigned.
  • Independently lead complex technical projects, including systems integration and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Create structure and actionable plans in ambiguous environments with limited initial direction.
  • Drive day-to-day execution, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and deliverables remain on track.
  • Coordinate project onboarding, resource assignments, and stakeholder alignment activities.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, status reports, dashboards, and decision materials.
  • Manage RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) logs and ensure timely escalation and resolution.
  • Conduct critical path and dependency analysis to identify schedule risks and required interventions.
  • Hold internal teams, business partners, and vendors accountable for commitments, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Monitor vendor contracts, statements of work, invoices, and forecasted spend to ensure financial and delivery accuracy.
  • Partner with technical leads, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and remove roadblocks.
  • Track estimates to actuals, resource utilization, and schedule performance across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Deliver concise and proactive communications to leadership, highlighting risks, impacts, and recommended actions.
  • Conduct project closure activities, including final reporting, lessons learned, knowledge transfer, and documentation.
  • Develop portfolio-level dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into project health, financial performance, and execution risks.
  • Perform additional duties and strategic initiatives as assigned.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Manage large projects of varying complexity.
