About the position

The Project Manager at ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is responsible for overseeing the managerial and administrative aspects of construction projects. This role emphasizes project performance and profit from the outset, requiring a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of integrity and quality. The position is based in Memphis, TN, and involves collaboration with owners, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project including estimating, scheduling, quality control, and progress reports.
  • Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
  • Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
  • Participate in proposal meetings with the owner to review the scope of work and discuss cost reduction and value engineering ideas.
  • Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors.
  • Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site.
  • Prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines to 100% completion.
  • Communicate openly with leadership and team members, and train coops/interns.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility and make sound decisions.
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
  • Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes based on customer input.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Engineering, or Construction Management with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • 1-5 years of hands-on construction experience as a project manager, assistant project manager, field engineer, or related internships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Nice-to-haves
