About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects throughout the Monterey Bay Area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning projects from preconstruction through closeout and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on clean energy infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial construction project management experience, understands project workflows, and can effectively coordinate vendors, subcontractors, clients, and field teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget. This is a strong opportunity for a construction professional looking to grow within the commercial solar, battery storage, electrical, or technical infrastructure space.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of project management experience within commercial construction
  • Experience in commercial solar, battery storage (BESS), electrical, MEP, or technical infrastructure projects strongly preferred
  • Understanding of the full construction project lifecycle including permitting, inspections, scheduling, procurement, billing, and closeout
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
  • Working knowledge of MEP systems and building permit processes
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Smartsheet
  • Experience with Jonas Premier is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available
  • Must be local to the Monterey Bay Area and able to work onsite

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial solar PV and battery storage projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Oversee project schedules, procurement, subcontractor coordination, contracts, and construction activities
  • Track project budgets, billing, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting
  • Coordinate permitting, inspections, procurement, buyout, and vendor activities
  • Lead or support project meetings with clients, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage RFIs, submittments, change orders, project documentation, and closeout packages
  • Support preconstruction efforts including estimating coordination, proposal support, and RFP/RFQ responses
  • Maintain organized project reporting and documentation within internal systems
  • Proactively identify and resolve project risks, delays, and coordination issues
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
