Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) CREO Design Engineer to join our Reactor Project Engineering department. This position is a project hire for a duration of two years and offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to cutting-edge nuclear energy research. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project models and product lifecycle management, serving as the technical contact for NRIC projects. The role is based out of the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC), where the team operates on a 4x10 schedule, allowing for every Friday off. As a CREO Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the digital engineering transformation initiative by providing engineering support for facility and project digital twin efforts. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in the PTC CREO suite of tools to create fully parametric models and associated documentation. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining the real-time as-built configuration of NRIC projects throughout fabrication and construction changes, ensuring that all processes and workflows in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system are adhered to for effective design verification. The NRIC testbeds at INL provide a unique capability for testing first-of-a-kind reactors, and as part of this team, you will be responsible for maximizing the use of digital engineering tools and parametric techniques in the creation of engineering deliverables. Your contributions will be essential in progressing the transition to digital engineering tools within the department, ensuring that proper engineering processes, design tools, and configuration management practices are developed and implemented effectively.
