Responsibilities of the Project Engineer include, but are not limited to: * Review of project proposals, specifications, and inspection reports to determine engineering requirements, feasibility, and procedures for accomplishing each project * Create and or review engineering drawings including general arrangements, fabrication drawings, etc. * Position will share existing engineer department drafting resources. * Review specifications of engineered equipment * Manage the project timeline to meet required delivery schedules. * Assist project manager with required customer documentation. * #LI-JA1 Qualifications of the Project Engineer include, but are not limited to: * Previous SolidWorks experience and a desire for being hands on * 2-5 years of experience with rotating equipment (pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, blowers, compressors) and fabricated pumping systems * Candidate must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks * Project Management experience and team work skills * Experience reading pressure and instrumentation diagrams * Must be able to work independently * Well organized and self-motivated * Must have excellent writing and verbal communication and problem solving skills * Must be detail-oriented and able to work well in an engineering environment * Great leadership abilities are essential while at the same time being a team player Additional Information: Physical Demand: N/A Working Conditions: Office and warehouse environment Training/Certifications: N/A Shift Time/Overtime: Regular business hours Travel: N/A Education: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering degree DXP is always looking for individuals who want to join a team of employees who have the desire to achieve remarkable accomplishments together.
