About the position

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Indianapolis 551 operations based in Carmel, IN. This individual will perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance, prepare RFI's and submittals, conduct quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders. The Project Engineer will create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen, manage punch lists and job closeout documentation, and support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in construction management (e.g., Field Engineer, Project Engineer, etc.) required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline, or comparable work experience
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and employees at all levels
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize, work on multiple tasks concurrently, and meet deadlines
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with insulation and/or specialty services is preferred
  • Local to the Indianapolis metro area
