We are looking for a best-in-class Project Engineer who is passionate about the field and ready to contribute to our fast-paced and agile company.

Responsibilities

  • Track quantities of materials and work completed daily/weekly for cost reporting.
  • Monitor subcontractor progress and verify installed work against project plans.
  • Assist in tracking manpower on-site and report workforce data to the PM.
  • Conduct regular site walks to validate production rates and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain and update daily reports, including site activities, progress, and weather conditions.
  • Collect and organize subcontractor daily reports for review by the PM.
  • Track and log RFIs (Requests for Information), ensuring timely responses.
  • Assist in maintaining as-built drawings and updating project documentation.
  • Support the PM in subcontractor and supplier coordination.
  • Communicate quantity tracking updates to the PM and assist in forecasting.
  • Participate in site meetings and take meeting minutes as needed.
  • Interface with field teams to ensure accurate documentation of work completed.
  • Track changes in work scope and assist in change order documentation.
  • Support quantity takeoffs for progress billing and pay applications.
  • Help maintain project budgets by monitoring material deliveries and usage.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with project safety requirements.
  • Help document quality control measures, including inspections and punch list tracking.
  • Report field issues and deficiencies to the PM for resolution.
  • Help coordinate material deliveries and verify received quantities.
  • Support closeout activities, including compiling turnover documentation.
  • Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed by the PM.

Requirements

  • Strong multi-tasking skills and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with managers and co-workers.
  • Be a team player, problem solver and able to think on your feet.
  • Conveys a sense of urgency and projects a positive, proactive desire to support a broad range of initiatives.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office required with an emphasis on MS Excel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience required.
  • Experience reading blueprints/schematics and strong math skills are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • AS or BS degree in Construction Management or Industrial Engineering preferred.
