About the position
The Project Engineer Jr/Project Manager at Base One Technologies is responsible for leading critical projects and initiatives within the CBP SOC environment. This role involves direct interaction with customers and SOC leadership to ensure the successful execution of strategies and processes, while maintaining high-quality deliverables and facilitating effective communication among team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead highly visible CBP SOC projects and initiatives to closure
- Lead key customer briefings and assist SOC leadership in execution and strategy
- Update Processes, SOPs, and Best Practices
- Ensure high quality of all contractual deliverables
- Facilitate quality comments back to analysts and leads for source data to enhance future analysis
Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience
- Strong customer interfacing experience
- Experience with ITIL practices
- 5+ years technical experience with 1-2 years of small project leadership (5+ people)
- Experience with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills
- Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI
Nice-to-haves
- PMP Certification
- Experience in cyber security
- Previous experience with DHS or CBP customer
- Experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) or Networking Operations
- Experience developing Agile processes
- Experience leading a team
- Experience architecting a Task Management solution like Remedy or JIRA
- Experience working with technologies such as Splunk, AWS Cloud, RSA Archer, MS Project/Visio
