About The Position

This individual will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies. This specific position will also have a dedicated focus in assisting the project's Commissioning team. The objective is to educate the employee in field and office operations while working from a construction project site for a minimum of six months and preferably for the duration of an entire construction project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in commercial construction.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects.
  • Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Have general knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
  • Have experience in Construction Management Software (i.e. Procore).
  • Have design-build commercial construction experience

Responsibilities

  • Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
  • Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
  • Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.
  • Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
  • Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
  • Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.
  • Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.
  • Assist Cx Manager in creating and managing a detailed commissioning schedule.
  • Assist Cx Manager in resolving critical commissioning issues.
  • Manage critical equipment deliveries to the project site.
  • Learn and develop knowledge of critical MEP infrastructure for data center buildings.
  • Assist the field team in quality and commissioning walkthroughs or inspections.
  • Manage commissioning documentation control through communication with client, trade partners, and internal project team.
