About the position

The Project Engineer role at Field Talent involves joining a dynamic team focused on large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects, such as data centers and stadiums. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about engineering and project management, playing a crucial role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with codes, best practices, and company standards.
  • Perform engineering design tasks, including energy-use calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Manage and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement logs to support seamless project operations.
  • Conduct assessments of existing facilities to identify opportunities for improvement and gather data for design and retrofit projects.
  • Support estimating, cost forecasting, and budgeting tasks, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate clear communication and resolve project challenges.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to address field installation and operational issues.
  • Participate in training sessions and assist with the mentorship of junior staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in engineering, construction, or project coordination roles.
  • Proficient in tools like AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
  • A high sense of integrity and a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
  • Ability to thrive in both office and field environments.
