The Project Engineer role at Field Talent involves joining a dynamic team focused on large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects, such as data centers and stadiums. Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with codes, best practices, and company standards.
- Perform engineering design tasks, including energy-use calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Manage and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement logs to support seamless project operations.
- Conduct assessments of existing facilities to identify opportunities for improvement and gather data for design and retrofit projects.
- Support estimating, cost forecasting, and budgeting tasks, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate clear communication and resolve project challenges.
- Provide hands-on technical support to address field installation and operational issues.
- Participate in training sessions and assist with the mentorship of junior staff as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering, construction, or project coordination roles.
- Proficient in tools like AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- A high sense of integrity and a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
- Ability to thrive in both office and field environments.
