About the position
Hoyle Tanner is seeking a Project Engineer for their Ground Transportation Division, focusing on bridge design and infrastructure projects. This role involves collaboration within a multi-discipline team to deliver effective solutions while maintaining strong client relationships. Responsibilities
- Lead the development of transportation infrastructure plans and specifications.
- Perform bridge design and miscellaneous structural design.
- Conduct bridge inspections and ratings, and collect field data.
- Provide construction observation and oversight.
- Complete assignments accurately and on time with limited direction from the Project Manager.
- Develop an understanding of project budget, scope of services, and project schedule.
- Assist in proposal efforts and development.
- Conduct site visits and participate in meetings with clients and contractors.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to entry-level engineers and peers.
- Demonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills.
Requirements
- BS (MS preferred) Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 5 - 10 years of relevant experience.
- Current PE in NH, MA, ME, or VT.
- Experience with MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans or MassDOT and municipal bridge projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, Bridge Structural Analysis Programs, MathCad, BlueBeam, etc.
