About the position
The Project Director at First Onsite is responsible for estimating restoration projects using software like Xactimate, collaborating with the Operations team to gather necessary field data, and ensuring accurate project budgets. This role emphasizes strong communication and problem-solving skills, fostering relationships with clients and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion. The position requires a service-oriented mindset and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a commitment to the company's core values and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Estimate projects using Xactimate to create the scope of work.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to gather field measurements, notes/plans, and photo documentation.
- Create accurate estimates and preliminary budgets based on restoration and construction costs.
- Foster strong relationships with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Proactively provide solutions for any problems that may arise during projects.
- Ensure all appropriate parties are kept up to date on project progress.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the restoration/construction industry.
- Xactimate level 2 certification and four current industry certifications.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Intermediate ability to read blueprints and architectural plans.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal code requirements.
- Experience with construction drawings, specifications, and take-offs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
