About the position

The Project Development Analyst is an entry-level role within the renewable energy sector, focusing on project management and development for utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects. This dynamic position involves supporting project managers throughout the project lifecycle, from site identification to permitting and construction, while engaging with various stakeholders and internal teams. The role offers significant professional growth opportunities and training in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and oversee the development of large-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects by creating and updating project maps and databases using GIS tools.
  • Represent EDPRNA in the field, working with Project Managers and landowners to create, negotiate, and amend agreements, options, leases, and land sales.
  • Engage in community outreach and stakeholder management activities.
  • Organize and attend educational and networking events.
  • Conduct land, market, regulatory, and related project research.
  • Compile documentation, attend meetings, conduct necessary studies, and perform other tasks as needed to obtain permits at the local, state, and federal level.
  • Assist with efforts to secure critical transmission and interconnection contracts from utilities and transmission providers.
  • Prepare proposals that are submitted to power purchasers including utilities, community choice aggregators, and commercial & industrial customers.
  • Support internal reporting and project tracking efforts.
  • Additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • 0 - 3 years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel).
  • Proficiency in SAP and SQL is preferred.
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise.
