About The Position

A full-time, permanent opportunity is available for a Project Coordinator to support project managers in delivering projects of varying complexity, from initiation through execution. This role involves applying engineering and project management principles, demonstrating strong collaboration and leadership skills, and coordinating both internal and external resources to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in project coordination or project management, particularly within infrastructure or construction environments.
  • Familiarity with project management processes, permitting requirements, and construction practices.

  • Professional or technical certification (e.g., Engineering Technologist designation) is an asset.
  • Additional training or certification in project management or leadership is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily project activities to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Coordinate design and construction inputs from various stakeholders.
  • Assist in administering consultant and contractor agreements, including reviewing forecasts, invoices, and progress claims.
  • Participate in project meetings, track action items, and manage deliverables and submissions.
  • Monitor and manage project changes, including preparing required documentation.
  • Support procurement processes by assisting with preparation of RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents.
  • Help develop evaluation criteria and participate in the assessment of bids.
  • Maintain project schedules, cash flow forecasts, and financial tracking documentation.
  • Assist in implementing project management plans to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Prepare and maintain essential project documentation and records.
  • Provide accurate and timely project reporting in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project objectives and resolve issues.
  • Conduct site visits and support safety audits to ensure safe work practices are upheld.
  • Monitor performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and standards to reduce risks.
  • May manage smaller projects or specific components of larger programs independently, applying standard project management practices.
