About the position

As a Project Controls Engineer II at Linde Engineering North America, you will collaborate with the project team to develop project controls strategies and plans that align with project objectives, contract requirements, and company policies. You will lead project controls engineers, providing guidance and support for scheduling, cost control, risk management, progress tracking, and resource planning activities. In this role, you will monitor, analyze, and report on project progress, cost performance, and risk exposure, collaborating with the project manager to develop plans to address areas of concern and achieve project objectives. You will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project controls data and information, implementing quality assurance processes to achieve reliable and consistent project outcomes. Additionally, you will develop and maintain project schedules, collaborate with project team members to identify project milestones and critical path analysis, monitor project costs against budget and forecast, and manage change management processes to ensure changes are accurately documented and incorporated into project plans and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project controls engineers and provide guidance on scheduling, cost control, risk management, progress tracking, and resource planning.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project controls data and information.
  • Implement quality assurance processes for reliable project outcomes.

Requirements

  • BS / BA in Business Administration, Construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-15 years of experience managing project control, scheduling, or project management in an engineering and construction company.
  • Hands-on experience in project control in an EPC environment preferred.
  • Certified PMP-Project Management Professional and/or AACE-Certified Cost Engineer preferred.
  • Effective computer skills including Microsoft Office Software, Outlook, and discipline-specific software applications (e.g., Primavera P6, MSP, SAP).
  • Hands-on experience in scheduling, earned value measurement, cost forecasting, and project risk management.
