About the position

We are seeking a licensed Project Architect to join our team at Barghausen Consulting Engineers. In this role, you will collaborate with the Senior Project Architect to lead architectural design, production, and project management for small to mid-sized commercial projects. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Client interface and coordination
  • Drive design, production, and delivery of projects
  • Guide the design team through the construction documentation and permit approval process
  • Conduct code compliance and quality control reviews of projects
  • Coordinate with consultants during all project phases
  • Ensure design control and construction administration of projects
  • Assist in the improvements of firm-wide documentation procedures and standards
  • Support project management in staffing, fee estimating and scheduling
  • Assist with proposals/budget development and project status updates
  • Provide technical guidance to project staff and share expertise and knowledge within the firm

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture preferred
  • Registered Architect in good standing required, NCARB preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on all phases of architectural design, production and delivery and management
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel and Revit - 3D rendering knowledge is a plus
  • Site Planning experience and strong design skills
  • Experience in a variety of projects (i.e. retail, commercial, industrial, multi-family, and mixed-use)
  • Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills
