About the position
We are seeking an experienced Archaeologist to join our team in Honolulu, HI. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in Hawaii and possess an advanced degree in Anthropology or a closely related field. A particular interest in report preparation that enhances our understanding of historical contexts is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilize GIS and GPS technology to map sites and analyze spatial data.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings, including technical writing that communicates results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to build comprehensive research projects that integrate various methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records of all fieldwork activities, findings, and analyses for future reference.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Strong skills in report writing and technical writing to document research findings clearly.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and the ability to analyze archaeological data effectively.
- A passion for archaeology and a commitment to preserving cultural heritage through scientific inquiry.
Nice-to-haves
