About the position
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Project Accountant to join their Nashville, TN office. This role involves financial analysis, revenue recognition, and collaboration with Project Managers across various disciplines. The Project Accountant will ensure accurate billing transactions, manage contracts, and coordinate receivables while meeting critical monthly deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Monthly financial analysis and ongoing revenue recognition
- Work with Project Managers in a variety of disciplines
- Meet multiple critical deadlines on a monthly basis
- Ensure all billing transactions are completed and accurately recorded in the MIS system
- Prepare invoices and complete monthly billing
- Contract management and review
- Coordinate and pursue receivables
- Monthly travel to other offices within the region
Requirements
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
- High degree of professionalism and strong people skills
- Must be an excellent team player
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Word required
- Experience using computerized accounting systems
