The Programmer Analyst at the Fenway Institute is a pivotal role within the finance and analytics team at Community Care Cooperative (C3). This position reports directly to the Director of Fenway Health Data Analytics and collaborates closely with the Vice President of Finance and Analytics, the Executive Director of The Fenway Institute, and various team members across C3 and Fenway Health. The primary focus of this role is to provide programming, data management, and statistical analysis support for a range of programs, projects, and research studies within the health center. The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for developing software applications for data entry, report generation, and analysis queries, ensuring that data integrity is maintained throughout the process. In this role, the Programmer Analyst will interpret and prioritize data requests from funders, research partners, and staff at all levels, developing reports that validate the integrity of data captured in the Electronic Medical Record System (EMR). They will work collaboratively with identified personnel to clean and manage data, document best practices for research data entry, and implement quality checking processes to resolve any inconsistencies. The position also involves creating standard operating procedures and documentation of processes, seeking efficiencies in the interrelationships between operating systems and database systems, and preparing required data submissions to various governmental and nonprofit funders. Additionally, the Programmer Analyst will provide statistical support and training for various programs and research studies, develop research proposals, and design data collection tools. They will collaborate with research teams on study design and methodology, describe electronic dataset extraction methods, and contribute to writing and revising research manuscripts for publication. This role requires a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion, as well as the ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to non-experts effectively. The Programmer Analyst will also be expected to provide training and supervision to assigned staff and perform other duties as assigned.
