About the position

The Program Specialist-Behavior role at Family Options, Inc. involves developing and implementing behavior support programs for individuals with behavioral challenges. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior support plans for individuals with behavioral challenges.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and analyze data to inform intervention strategies.
  • Provide training and support to staff and caregivers on implementing behavior support plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support programs and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members, including behavior analysts, therapists, and educators, to ensure consistency in program implementation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and program outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, special education, applied behavior analysis, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing behavior support plans is a plus.
