About the position

The Program Specialist 3 - Pre-ETS Service at Edmonds College is responsible for leading outreach and engaging with youth aged 14-21 with varying abilities. This role supports the college's mission by providing program support, developing schedules, and ensuring contract deliverables for Pre-employment Transition Services. The specialist will represent the college in the community, recruit students, and coordinate program services while working under the general direction of the Director of Pre-employment Transition Services.

Responsibilities

  • Outreach to recruit students through workshops and school visits.
  • Organize attendance at fairs to increase program participation.
  • Respond to program inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and the public.
  • Anticipate potential conflicts and recommend resolutions.
  • Assist in developing procedures and policies for new programs.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to identify program needs.
  • Coordinate program events and meetings each quarter.
  • Compile program contract deliverable materials and reports.
  • Maintain Google and department web pages.
  • Support in designing and delivering workshop content.
  • Track billing and organize systems to fulfill contract obligations.
  • Collaborate with RTCs and partners to fulfill contract deliverables.
  • Manage purchasing, budget tracking, and account reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with the director in creating quarterly/annual class schedules.
  • Communicate and post notices of schedule changes and class cancellations.
  • Participate in college division and professional development opportunities.
  • Use Curriculog to track course and program requirement sheets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Two years of experience in a higher education setting or similar field.
  • Ability to coordinate outreach to support retention and outreach efforts.
  • Ability to provide administrative support with significant use of technology.
  • Excellent skills in Google Applications and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Experience in planning, coordination, and consultation with public and private agencies.
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent outreach and retention skills with a diverse clientele.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.
