About The Position

Reporting to the Manager Community Wellness Programs, the main role of the Program Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (Specialist) is to ensure the proper monitoring and evaluation of health promotion programs that are developed and implemented by the Population Health Division, especially those funded under the Health Canada/Government of Nunavut (GN) Funding Agreement. These programs provide funding for the delivery of community-based health and wellness programs that are responsive to community needs, culturally sensitive, appropriate to community capacity and that support the achievement of federal and territorial health priorities. The Specialist is essential to the effective achievement of the long- and short-term goals and objectives set out for both the community and Territorial level programs. Department of Health The Department of Health (HEA) is responsible for health services and social programming in Nunavut.
