About the position
The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing all contractor activities and personnel related to a significant IT service contract, ensuring adherence to project budgets, schedules, and quality standards while implementing risk mitigation strategies. The PM will also integrate the efforts of various contract development teams into a cohesive master project schedule and work breakdown structure.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all contractor activities and personnel under the project requirement.
- Maintain project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Ensure risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integrate activities of other contract development teams into the master project schedule.
- Provide technical direction in collaboration with the Program IT Branch Chief.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience managing complex and high-risk programs.
- At least 10 years of experience with IT tools and developing web applications using Java technologies.
- Experience managing IT service contracts valued over $5,000,000.
- Working experience with Six Sigma or similar management disciplines.
- Thorough knowledge of the IT investment management process, including SDLCM and portfolio management.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with enterprise architecture and business process reengineering.
- Familiarity with Capital planning and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Development experience with databases, particularly SQL, JDBC, and DB2.
