About the position

The Program Manager, OPEP will manage the day-to-day activities of the Office to enable the Associate Director and Director to maximize their frontline fundraising activities. The Program Manager will participate in OPEP's key strategic activities through stewardship of the Parents Leadership Council (PLC) and all parent donors, marketing to parent prospects, and database queries, exports, and reports to shape strategy. This position will also provide meeting and event support and administrative assistance. As a member of University Advancement, Fairfield's fundraising division, you will be given hands-on experience in a supportive environment with opportunities for personal and professional development. Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends throughout the year to assist with donor events, meetings, Reunion, select campus events, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Run the stewardship program and serve as point of contact for Parent donors and PLC members.
  • Respond daily to inquiries including general parent, fundraising and event questions.
  • Assist in planning the annual PLC Breakfast, PLC Experience and other PLC cultivation events.
  • Prepare quarterly Parent Newsletters and source content from campus partners.
  • Serve as liaison to internal Marketing department to manage design, printing, and mailing of materials.
  • Run queries and exports in Raiser's Edge to produce reports and lists for Parent Giving strategy.
  • Perform outreach to parents rated 6-7 for check-in phone calls and follow up for gift information.
  • Draft correspondence and prepare acknowledgement letters for annual and major gifts.
  • Monitor program budget and prepare expense reimbursements using Workday.
  • Assist management in preparation for prospect cultivation, visits, and engagement.
  • Participate in the professional development of the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 2 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a fundraising environment preferred, including donor relations, database management, and event planning.
  • Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Database experience required (Raiser's Edge NXT and Raiser's Edge database, Blackbaud, or other CRM).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management platforms or marketing platforms (e.g. Wrike).
  • Knowledge of Workday is a plus.
