About The Position

Within the Data Centers Central Operations function, this role is part of the Deployment team and will be responsible for identifying and implementing process and tool improvements that support our mission of ensuring safe, timely, and cost effective builds. This role is critical to effectively scaling our data centers worldwide. As a Data Center Speed of Light Program Manager, you are responsible for designing and implementing solutions to enable hyper-rapid deployment of Machine Learning racks and CDUs, focusing on optimizing staffing and labor strategies. Possible approaches may include use of strike teams, shared labor across metros/regions, additional shifts, surge labor contracts, etc. This role will require the Program Manager to remain closely aligned with rapidly changing business needs, adeptly pivoting strategies to optimally balance safety, deployment speed, cost, and reliability. You will create and implement a comprehensive set of options that provide solutions throughout the global fleet to support quickly increasing rack deployment volume and speed requirements. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in process improvements within an operations environment (e.g., data center, infrastructure, manufacturing, supply chain, or technology-based business units).
  • Experience in creating or managing workforce development programs (labor planning or staffing).

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience leading global programs and processes as part of central operations enablement or management teams.
  • Experience with vendor management and outsourced support models in relation to capacity planning.
  • Understanding of forecasting methodologies and their application in workforce management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills, including modeling and presentation skills with proficiency in Sheets, SQL, and Workforce Management (WFM) software (e.g., Verint, Nice, Assembled).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of labor strategies to support rapid rack and CDU deployment.
  • Ensure strategies support the various needs and constraints (local laws, regulations, etc.) of global regions.
  • Maintain close alignment with capacity planning to understand evolving needs across all sites and execute labor strategies to ensure Data Center Operations (DCOps) is able to meet delivery requirements.
  • Be primary DCOps representative for Speed of Light initiatives, working with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of deployment timelines.
  • Contract with external parties to support business requirements as needed.
