About the position

The Director Program Delivery at AECOM is a leadership role focused on overseeing complex rail programs. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and delivery, particularly in large-scale infrastructure projects. The director will provide strategic direction, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions. The role emphasizes ethical practices, operational excellence, and the attraction and retention of top talent within program management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery.
  • Identify high-risk areas and take proactive actions to positively impact program outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure alignment with program goals and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for complex rail projects and programs.
  • Drive all stages of the project life cycle including start-up, execution, and handover of major projects.
  • Advocate for ethical and safe working practices throughout the organization.
  • Deliver design assurance and technical services under various contract forms.
  • Support the attraction and retention of top-tier talent within program management.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with 12 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience/education, including 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering field (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, etc.) is preferred.
  • 25+ years of Project or Construction Management experience with 20 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven executive-level leadership in large organizations with a track record of driving high performance and achieving complex strategic objectives.
  • Strong understanding of technical and design solutions for railway infrastructure.
