About the position

The Program Director at the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute (UCCI) is responsible for directing, developing, and managing large-scale and complex projects aimed at improving correctional interventions. This role involves overseeing project teams, ensuring project goals are met, and managing project budgets. The position is grant-funded for one year, with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability.

Responsibilities

  • Direct project teams and oversee group projects using strong project management skills.
  • Perform needs assessment by evaluating projects for quality and effectiveness of materials.
  • Develop and collaborate on program materials including presentations and inquiries.
  • Oversee project budgets, approve and monitor expenditures, and prepare financial reports.
  • Develop and implement project-related policies and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison and coordinate communication with internal departments and external entities.
  • Collaborate with staff to achieve UCCI vision and mission.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Eight (8) years of relevant work experience or specialized training in lieu of education requirement.
  • Four (4) years of experience in program development or business administration.
  • Some positions may require one (1) year of supervision.
