About the position

The Program Coordinator for the Welcome Corps Support Line at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) plays a crucial role in supporting Private Sponsorship Groups (PSGs) as they navigate the refugee resettlement process. This position involves providing expert consultation, managing referrals, and assisting in the development and implementation of program strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the Welcome Corps initiative. The coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that newcomers receive the necessary resources and support during their resettlement journey.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Officer in maintaining, updating, and generating reports from Airtable as needed.
  • Assist in implementing the Welcome Corps Support Line's new monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system.
  • Field inquiries during surges alongside Support Liaisons.
  • Maintain WCSL's referral database and execute referrals as needed.
  • Expand WCSL's communication strategy to increase program awareness.
  • Update internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding new program staff.
  • Gather data and draft/edit annual proposal materials for WCSL.
  • Manage logistics for in-person or remote training and gatherings, including budget and expenses.
  • Perform other operational and administrative tasks to ensure effective day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum two to three years of non-profit experience, preferably with experience in the U.S. refugee admissions program (USRAP) and/or Refugee Private Sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture reflecting IRC's core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality.
  • Experience with Airtable data management or similar data systems preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, or French is desired.
