About The Position

Coordinates and performs the day-to-day functions of the Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) program. Serves as the primary point of contact, coordinates the FNE schedule, reviews patient charts, contacts patients for follow-up services, and completes forensic medical exams in the emergency department and clinic under the supervision of the clinic ARNP or ED physicians. Supports the ongoing development of FNEs by presenting new nurses and completing chart reviews. Performs all functions of an FNE, including responding to subpoenas and providing courtroom testimony. The evening shift coordinator's primary responsibility is responding to the ED. The day shift coordinator's primary responsibility is program coordination from the clinic. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License Upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Upon hire
  • 1 year Direct patient care as a nurse.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year Direct patient care as a SANE or Forensic Nurse Examiner.
