About the position
The Program Coordinator at CareSense Living is responsible for overseeing the operations of residential homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, and autism. This role emphasizes community integration and positive approaches to care, ensuring a healthy emotional and physical environment for residents. The coordinator will engage with staff, families, and community professionals to maintain compliance with state guidelines and provide quality services.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and supervise Residential Lead Staff and Direct Support Professionals.
- Maintain and complete monthly reports, fire safety records, and staff and consumer records.
- Monitor program functions through record reviews and site documentation to ensure quality services.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and agency guidelines.
- Participate in the on-call supervisor rotation.
- Act as a liaison with county, day programs, families, and doctors.
- Attend necessary meetings such as ISP, Monitoring, SIS, and Staff meetings.
- Provide ongoing staff oversight and monitoring, including training and performance evaluations.
- Monitor spending to ensure expenditures are within budget for homes and individuals.
- Maintain medical records and monitor programmatic data collection for all individuals.
- Ensure timely scheduling and completion of medical appointments according to state regulations and individual needs.
- Work with lead staff to ensure appropriate staffing schedules and coverage for each home.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or Associate's Degree plus 2-4 years of experience in the field.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
