About The Position

This position is in Goffstown, NH. With a strong emphasis on customer service, this role provides administrative and office support for the Extension Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP). The ideal candidate will use independent judgment, problem-solving skills, and initiative to perform varied office and program support functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of office practices and computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong layout/design skills with experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent time management, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.
  • Strong organizational skills, including managing competing priorities.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software systems such as Salesforce and Destiny One.
  • Experience with Zoom and/or Teams for virtual meetings, webinars, or online training events.
  • Familiarity with online sales or ecommerce platforms related to event registration or material distribution.

Nice To Haves

  • Background or experience in agriculture, plant sciences, or entomology.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Microsoft Access, Qualtrics, Adobe Captivate, and/or Destiny One.
  • Skills in writing and designing content for websites and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary administrative and logistical support for the Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP), ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Coordinate and manage registration processes for workshops, trainings, and conferences.
  • Prepare event materials, including brochures, signage, and display materials.
  • Coordinate facility rental logistics and vendor arrangements.
  • Assist with virtual event logistics using Zoom or Microsoft Teams (e.g., managing participant access, screen sharing, breakout rooms).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for program inquiries, material requests, event details, and referrals to specialists.
  • Maintain and respond to communication through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Promote programs and events via digital newsletters, website event calendars, social media, and other communication platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal staff to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of training materials and publications.
  • Process orders and handle customer payments.
  • Coordinate packaging and shipping of materials to clients or event venues.
  • Assist with online sales of educational materials and registrations as needed.
  • Manage sensitive and complex electronic records including participant data and contact lists.
  • Ensure proper storage and retrieval of documents in accordance with data privacy and institutional policies.
  • Support program reporting and evaluation efforts by gathering, organizing, and maintaining relevant data.
  • Oversee general office tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and arranging repairs.
  • Manage shared equipment reservations and usage.
  • Provide occasional support to other administrative or programmatic duties as assigned.
