About the position

The Program Assistant position at Mercy Multiplied involves providing administrative support, managing financial transactions, and assisting in resident support activities. The role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations at the Nashville Home, facilitating communication with residents and their families, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The position requires a blend of accounting skills, administrative duties, and a passion for supporting individuals in a faith-based setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative front desk duties including phone coverage, receiving deliveries, and welcoming guests.
  • Provide tours of the Home to new residents and potential supporters.
  • Sort incoming mail and coordinate outgoing mail.
  • Handle new resident entry tasks including logging personal documents and monetary items.
  • Manage administrative check-out processes for residents.
  • Coordinate with Night Staff for birthday celebrations and maintain order in the reception area.
  • Assist the Director of Home Operations as needed.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and facilitate staff accounting needs.
  • Supervise and manage all Home monetary transactions and accounts.
  • Track resident expenditures and manage personal, education, and medical funds for residents.
  • Communicate with residents' parents/guardians regarding financial accounts.
  • Lead residents in budgeting for trips and events.
  • Assist Day Staff in monitoring daily schedules and activities.
  • Plan and participate in weekly events with residents.

Requirements

  • College degree in Social Science preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Experience in accounting and budgeting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a residential counseling or support environment.
  • Familiarity with Christian principles and practices.
