About the position

The Program Assistant at The Monarch Institute plays a crucial role in supporting the educational programs for individuals with neurological differences. This position involves assisting program directors, managing administrative tasks, and serving as a liaison between parents and the school. The Program Assistant is responsible for maintaining program calendars, managing the front desk, and ensuring safety measures are implemented, all while providing excellent customer service and support to faculty and students.

Responsibilities

  • Assist program directors in managing program calendars and administrative tasks.
  • Serve as a liaison to parents and maintain communication regarding student attendance and participation.
  • Manage the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and handling incoming calls.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records for students and faculty, including reporting to the Institute Administrative Assistant.
  • Coordinate logistics for community events, field trips, and parent meetings.
  • Administer medications to students and maintain accurate health records as required.
  • Support the daily functioning of the program, including therapy services and student schedules.
  • Organize and maintain school office materials and ensure a professional environment.
  • Assist in the creation of reports and presentations for program leaders.
  • Inventory supplies and place orders for necessary materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in social sciences or business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and navigate software packages, including RenWeb.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in educational settings or with individuals with special needs.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and other administrative software.
