About the position

Join the Head Start teaching team in a teacher assistant type position in facilitating many classroom activities such as field trips, lesson planning, and classroom maintenance. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics of the Head Start classroom and start a career track to becoming a Head Start Teacher. This position may also assist in the kitchen, bus, or other areas of operation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom activities such as field trips and lesson planning
• Assist in classroom maintenance
• Support kitchen, bus, or other operational areas as needed

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• No previous education or experience required unless local or state regulations require it

Nice-to-haves

• Safe Serve certification for kitchen aide duties (if applicable)
