The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a Professor in the area of Computer Engineering. The selected incumbent will also hold the termed Micron Technology Chair in Advanced Memory Systems Design. The current term for the Chair is set to 5 years. The School is seeking exceptional senior applicants demonstrating outstanding potential for research accomplishments, alongside a strong inclination and passion for teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, candidates should possess a keen interest and prior involvement in applying their research to real-world scenarios. Ideal candidates will boast a proven track record of research excellence in the field of computing systems design, particularly focusing on memory systems development using next generation packaging and heterogenous integration technologies. This encompasses emerging memory technologies, integrated logic and memory structures, data centric compute architectures as well as expertise in modeling, simulation, and hardware implementation of system software on next-generation computing platforms. Moreover, the successful candidate is anticipated to commit to a 20% consulting role with Micron Technology, in addition to their full-time position with the School of ECE.
