Kimley-Horn is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor with over 4 years of experience to join their Weatherford, Texas office. This role involves conducting field surveys, analyzing survey data, and collaborating with various professionals to support construction and development projects. The position requires expertise in advanced surveying technology and a commitment to quality and compliance with surveying standards.

Responsibilities

• Conducting field surveys at various client sites using advanced surveying instruments and technology.
• Analyzing survey data, maps, and legal documents to determine property lines and boundaries.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide accurate survey data.
• Utilizing GPS technology, GIS, and other surveying software to process and manage survey data.
• Preparing detailed survey reports, maps, and legal descriptions for clients and stakeholders.
• Conducting research on property deeds, historical records, and land titles.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant surveying standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Providing expert testimony and survey evidence in legal disputes.
• Staying updated on advancements in surveying technology and techniques.
• Maintaining and calibrating surveying equipment.

Requirements

• 4+ years as a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and/or Carlson.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
