About The Position

The Production Worker is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of used intermediate bulk containers (IBC totes), including receiving, disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling them. The primary goal is to restore used IBC totes to a safe, clean, and functional condition, complying with all regulations, for reuse in industrial applications. This role involves significant physical labor, operating industrial equipment and hand tools, and adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Offer highest level of innovation and problem-solving skills to influence overall efficiency, improvements in productivity, outcomes, etc.
  • Use verbal skills to transfer information to operators, maintenance, and management.
  • Complete reports such as production, quality, and inventory, legibly.
  • Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios.
  • Experience with internal manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, kneel/stoop, and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination.
  • Vision: 20/20 corrected; and normal hearing range.
  • Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment – cold in the winter months and hot in the summer months.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Plant Safety Rules and Regulations and utilize proper PPE at all times.
  • Produce continuous quality parts and ensure all quality procedures are followed, complying with ISO 9001.
  • Complete manufacturing/quality documents and communicate internally concerning deviations or general requests.
  • Assist in 6s and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Verify compliance to local, state, and federal environmental regulations and complete internal reports as necessary.
  • Independently operate machines and equipment to produce production parts to required tolerances.
  • Read and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products.
  • Install plugs, capseals, rings, and other specified parts or materials.
  • Utilize various hand tools, including air guns, plug wrenches, and capseal tools, safely and efficiently while maintaining production flow speed.
  • Report any conditions of concern regarding products, materials, or safety immediately to the Production Manager, SHEQ, or Plant Manager.
  • Utilize company systems for reporting production, scrap, and inventory.
  • Follow direction and meet required product quantities.
  • Maintain working area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings.
  • Perform all other duties as required or requested.
