Production Worker- 2nd Shift

About the position

The position involves essential functions related to safety, quality, compliance, and primary production responsibilities within an industrial manufacturing environment. The role requires adherence to safety rules, quality procedures, and environmental regulations while operating machinery and producing parts to specified tolerances. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area and attending required meetings and training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Plant Safety Rules and Regulations
• Utilize proper PPE at all times
• Produce continuous quality parts and ensure all quality procedures are followed
• Ensure compliance to ISO 9001
• Complete Manufacturing/Quality documents
• Communicate internally concerning deviations or general requests
• Assist in 6s and lean manufacturing practices
• Verify compliance to local, state, and federal regulations
• Complete reports as necessary internally
• Independently operate machines and equipment to produce production parts to required tolerances
• Read and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products as needed
• Install plugs, capseals, rings, and other specified parts or materials
• Utilize various hand tools safely and efficiently while maintaining appropriate speed with production flow
• Demonstrate acceptable level of capabilities in all areas of the Plant during General Labor Rotation
• Report any conditions of concern regarding products, materials, or safety immediately to Production Manager, SHEQ, or Plant Manager
• Utilize Company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, etc.
• Follow direction and product required quantities
• Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition
• Attend all required meetings and trainings
• Perform all other duties as required or requested

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in industrial manufacturing
• Problem-solving skills to influence overall efficiency and improvements in productivity
• Verbal communication skills to transfer information to operators, maintenance, and management
• Written communication skills to complete reports legibly
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios
• Computer skills for internal manufacturing systems
