About the position
The Production Tester at OPW is responsible for conducting a variety of mechanical and functional tests on subassemblies and final assemblies to ensure that equipment functions according to specifications. This role involves analyzing test results, documenting findings, and collaborating with engineers and production personnel to resolve issues related to equipment performance and failures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mechanical and functional tests on subassemblies and final assemblies.
- Read test procedures, work orders, and performance specifications to determine testing procedures.
- Review blueprints and BOM specifications to compare with produced equipment.
- Verify dimensions on mechanical parts and test functional performance of systems.
- Perform mass spectrometer tests and pressure tests on equipment.
- Examine joints for flaws using various tools and techniques.
- Document test results and analyze defective units to determine causes of failure.
- Collaborate with engineers and production personnel regarding testing procedures and results.
- Maintain measurement equipment by following calibration requirements.
Requirements
- Mass Spectrometer experience required.
- Blueprint reading capabilities.
- Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, and calipers.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Documentation and reporting skills.
- Minimum two years' experience as a Quality Inspector with Mass Spec experience.
