About the position
Hexagon Purus is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our Mobility and Infrastructure business unit in Westminster, MD. The Production Supervisor will supervise, and coordinate activities for employees engaged in the manufacture of products in accordance with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. This position will have responsibility for the Aerospace production cell and machine shop.
Responsibilities
- Develop work schedules and assign work based upon analysis of production schedules and documented training.
- Instruct, support, train, develop and monitor employees understanding and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work Instructions, Safety Programs, and Training Documents.
- Counsel employees on performance, attendance, attitude and compliance with plant rules, and initiate appropriate disciplinary measures as needed.
- Maintain a collaborative working relationship with all departments.
- Maintain time and production records, work cell Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other applicable reporting accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist and support engineering with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, wind pattern evaluation, oven programming, test programming and cycle time reduction as assigned.
- Perform other functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience (5 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment in-lieu of degree may be considered)
- Ability to analysis data, problem solve, communicate effectively, & manage projects
- Experience with MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
- Must be United States citizen, lawful permanent resident or otherwise eligible to work in the United States
