About The Position

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems. We fabricate custom designed, purpose-built enclosures and skids for our customers and perform mechanical and electrical integration in-house, delivering a true turn-key product to our customers. Position Overview: We are seeking a hands-on and driven Production Supervisor to lead daily operations on the manufacturing floor within a fast-paced, high-mix production environment. This role is responsible for executing the production plan, driving team performance, and ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets are consistently met. The ideal candidate brings strong floor leadership experience, a sense of urgency, and the ability to coach and develop frontline teams. This individual will play a key role in maintaining production flow, resolving issues in real time, and reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Experience supporting or working within a UL508A panel shop environment is highly valued, particularly in electrical assembly and compliance-driven manufacturing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Prior leadership or lead experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, and shop floor operations
  • Experience in fabrication, assembly, coatings, or electro-mechanical environments
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to spend the majority of time on the manufacturing floor
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working in or supporting a UL508A panel shop environment
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical assembly, control panels, and UL/NEC standards
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and structured production environments

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily production schedules in alignment with direction from Production/Plant leadership
  • Lead, direct, and support hourly production employees, including operators and leads
  • Communicate daily production goals, priorities, and expectations clearly to the team
  • Monitor workflow, staffing, and material availability to ensure production targets are achieved
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time to minimize downtime
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to improve performance, skill level, and overall productivity
  • Reinforce accountability, attendance, and performance expectations across the team
  • Support performance management, including feedback, disciplinary actions, and recognition
  • Enforce all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and production processes
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Identify inefficiencies on the floor and implement improvements to workflow, layout, or processes
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Track and communicate production metrics such as output, downtime, and quality issues
  • Partner with Production Managers, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and maintain production flow
  • Ensure proper communication between shifts and departments to support operational continuity
  • Support production activities related to electrical panel assembly in a UL508A panel shop environment
  • Ensure team adherence to UL508A, NEC, and internal quality standards during panel build and wiring
  • Escalate technical or compliance-related issues to Engineering or Quality as needed
