About The Position

The Production Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring pharmaceutical manufacturing processes are executed in full alignment with cGMP, regulatory standards, and site quality expectations. This role provides leadership to manufacturing teams, drives compliance and safety, and supports a culture focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. This position is 100% on-site at the St. Petersburg site. Shift: Rotating 2-2-3 7 am - 7 pm Join Catalent’s flagship Softgel development and manufacturing facility in North America, located in St. Petersburg, FL, with a capacity of 18 billion capsules per year. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; three years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
  • Supervisory experience beneficial; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; intermediate to advanced PC proficiency.
  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
  • Ability to meet required vision criteria, including color differentiation and visual acuity.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 15 lbs (and no more than 44.09 lbs without assistance).
  • Frequent use of computers and written documentation.
  • Primary work location on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities, set priorities, assign tasks, and guide a team of manufacturing operators.
  • Oversee production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to support batch release timelines and throughput goals.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and skills development to team members.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and internal quality standards.
  • Review and maintain manufacturing documentation, including batch records, logbooks, deviations, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to support equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as primary contact on shift for safety and security concerns.
  • All other duties as assigned.
