About The Position

Lead the Manufacturing department to create and maintain a behavior-based safety culture, produce quality products, and maintain and increase plant efficiencies. This role involves ensuring the safety of associates, managing and developing staff, monitoring production processes, and troubleshooting issues to maintain operational excellence.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or training experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Organization and attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Time management skills
Systems analysis skills
Mathematical and deductive reasoning skills
Critical thinking skills

Packaging industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safety of associates and implementing safety procedures.
Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.
Monitor, measure, and report on production-related process performance and general issues.
Ensure good communication, both verbally and written, to all staff members.
Utilize problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Maintain and enforce housekeeping standards for a clean and safe workplace.
Make appropriate decisions regarding quality and scheduling, following the company's organizational structure.
Communicate any changes from crews to the plant superintendent.
Enforce and discipline associates for breaking company policies (attendance, quality, safety, conduct).
Maintain and authorize employee time cards daily.
Conduct new employee evaluations at the end of each week within their first month.
Responsible for the completion of RGAs.
Report and communicate order shortages.
Responsible for the correctness of production and quality reporting.
