About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for Safety, Quality, Production, and Continuous Improvement in order to meet or exceed business goals and objectives. This is done through leading by example, ensuring employees are properly trained, holding themselves and others accountable, meeting established metrics, and maximizing efficiency throughout the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

Operational knowledge regarding process, equipment capability, practices, systems.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.
Able to work flexible/rotating hours as production needs are required
Associates Degree with 2 years of manufacturing experience or 5 years manufacturing experience required, preferably in aluminum manufacturing.
Two years experience in a supervisory and/or leadership role required.

Nice To Haves

Strong mechanical and process aptitude preferred
Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly with Excel and other computer related programs

Responsibilities

Lead the charge for ensuring all employees, customers, and visitors understand the importance of 100% safety compliance.
Coach employees to ensure they understand job responsibilities and how they affect internal and external customers upstream and downstream.
Monitor safety, quality, and production data for trends and opportunities for problem-solving and waste elimination.
Lead continuous improvement activities in the assigned department to ensure the company is at maximum production capabilities.
Provide feedback to the team concerning safety
Conduct safety observations
Coach employees to ensure they understand job responsibilities and how they impact internal and external customers
Ensure employees are trained to safely perform job duties in a manner that meets or exceeds quality and production requirements
