About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced dairy manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing milk processing operations, supervising production associates, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, and driving operational efficiency across the facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong food manufacturing leadership experience, excellent communication skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to lead a diverse workforce in a high-volume production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires accountability, attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and the ability to thrive in a regulated manufacturing setting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food production or food manufacturing environment
  • Food manufacturing experience is required
  • Experience working within regulated food safety environments
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Experience supervising a diverse and unionized workforce
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and utilize additional business systems and applications
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must have Alchemy Safety Training experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for dairy manufacturing experience
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • Dairy production experience within milk processing facilities
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily milk production operations to ensure production goals and schedules are achieved
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and operational standards throughout the facility
  • Monitor production flow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and throughput
  • Lead, coach, and support production associates in daily operations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development
  • Issue corrective actions when necessary while maintaining a positive and productive work environment
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence
  • Train and enforce quality assurance and food safety standards
  • Monitor production processes to ensure product consistency and quality
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues promptly
  • Track and manage raw materials and finished goods inventory
  • Conduct audits and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Partner with supply chain and warehouse teams to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste
  • Recommend scalable operational solutions
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety standards and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and company regulations
  • Maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance standards
  • Collaborate effectively with quality, logistics, maintenance, and leadership teams
  • Communicate operational updates, concerns, and production issues clearly and professionally
  • Train and onboard new production associates
  • Provide continuous coaching and operational training to team members
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with maintenance teams
  • Address equipment concerns quickly to minimize downtime and production interruptions
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and operational records
  • Generate reports related to production metrics, inventory, safety, and quality performance
