About the position

The Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift at Regal Ware, Inc. is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing activities within assigned departments. This role focuses on maintaining quality, achieving production schedules, and ensuring operations align with lean principles and budget constraints. The supervisor plays a key role in employee management, safety compliance, and continuous improvement of production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all manufacturing activities within assigned department(s).
  • Maintain quality and attain production schedules.
  • Ensure operation within established lean principles and budget.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, development, coaching, and counseling of employees.
  • Provide HR with updates and guidance on employee status and pay.
  • Verify and hold employees accountable for safety issues and proper PPE usage.
  • Monitor workflow and personnel resources to maintain production flow.
  • Implement cost reductions and develop reporting procedures.
  • Foster cooperation within and between departments.
  • Coach an environment that improves safety, production flow, and machine utilization.
  • Utilize visual communication tools to drive results in daily communications.
  • Schedule and assign personnel to attain production plans.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards and specifications for products.
  • Work in cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Call for repairs to ensure equipment operation.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating employees on compliance with policies.
  • Address and correct personnel issues in collaboration with HR.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement tools and methodologies.
